Aerial Shower Poem by Konalli Rajeev Naik

Aerial Shower

A humming helicaptor;
The bewitching air baroness
Circled the cashew hill
Sprinkling the Endosulfan
Over the cashew plantation.

Pretty naive cashew flowers
Hoisted their heads
In the whirring air
Ingesting the lethal insecticide.

Deeming a blissful
Holy agro-tech bath
The green revolution
Had the moaning
Aerial shower.

Absorbing the germicide
The calm lake waves
Beside the cashew tree
Ceased swaying.

Catlas, Large mouth brasses
Pink perches and White crappies
The perishing fish species
Floated bellies up
Along shrunk dorsal fins
And sunk bloodshot eyes.

Aerial Shower
