So true Elysabeth! Romantic love (courtship) even without marriage can last longer like heaven than marriage without romantic love! But romantic love or courtship in marriage can last the longest! . Great advice! Thanks. High marks.

Such a delicate balance. First romantic contacts are fun and exhilirating. In the best of circumstances these qualities continue through courtship and into marriage. The tough part is that the real world contains so many experience that are neither fun nor exhilirating.

Elysabeth, this is such a fragile poem. The theme seems to blow the whole piece out of the water, but it is contained and in that the craftsmanship is there to be admired. And it feels so much more satifying on repeated readings.

You show us the tip of your iceberg, as well as revealing much of what lies under the water. A powerful, tightly driven piece that leaves this reader wondering... love, Allie xxxx
