Print, visual, social media always
advertise oils that re-generate hair,
creams that make our bodies fair,
foods that rejuvenate our youth,
pastes that enhance the whiteness,
strength and life of our tooth.
Is there even one iota of truth?
Soaps of branded company,
aloe vera, bitter gourd, neem, and
bottle gourd juices would smoothen
aged skin to make it
like that of children.
No moisturiser, no juice, no soap,
whether ordinary or branded,
can reverse our rough and
wrinkled skin and brighten.
Many oils, balms, sprays
are shown to have the power to
vanish our joint pains.
People claim their pain of
rheumatism and osteo-arthritis
completely disappeared and they have
started running again.
These are only gimmicks and white lies
to deceive you to sell own products
for their gain.
Humanity has witnessed that a stage gone
in life never returns.
Has any one seen an adult's
transformation back to
a youngster teen?
Each stage in our life -history
brings in different sweetness.
It is better that we accord it
a red-carpet, accept and enjoy life
without any unrealistic rosiness.
No Amrit(ambrosia) is being
sold in the market to make
us young and immortal.
It is best to keep our minds
free from worries and anxieties,
practise some light exercises,
control our food and drink
to moderate amount which is
rationally proportional.
I will NEVER 'roll out tha red carpet' for the signs (mental and physical) of old age.
But every body rolls out a red carpet for the young stage dear Bri.However all stages would come ultimately. Thanks for your comments.
And I don't discount ALL of the claims made by companies/people about the beauty and/or health benefits of oils, creams, etc. : )
As I'm not sure of the validity of Swain's comment, I'm not sure of the validity of statements made in the 'poem'. I USUALLY PREFER hearing a rhythm and some rhyming, & maybe some humor, , and/or suspense. bri : )
HEY! ! ! I guess PH deleted the 3-letter word begining with 's', which WAS typed between 'humor' and 'and/oir suspense'. Let me spell it S E X. : ) bri
