Adulthood Poem by Muktika Poddar

Adulthood

Rating: 5.0

Adult friendships are seldom trusting,
You barely find solace to be resting,
Some purely transactional, most just situational,
Such is the tragedy, even when everyone's lonely and emotional.

Does growing up strip your morals away?
Can one not give another genuine leeway?
If strong adult friendship is what you seek,
Don't fool yourself, your chances are pretty bleak!
