Adulation Heaped Only On Victors Poem by Doris Cornago

Adulation Heaped Only On Victors

Rating: 5.0

Cloak and dagger adventurous
Lives we lead are tenuous
Monsters crave gem lode
Ripped from harvest
Furious abasement
Hero walks frozen
Our friendship
Started with
Terse hello
Softly on
Machines
Slight
Tap
No
Skins
No smiles
Across vast
Slithering space
Incorrigible schemes
Dreams litter our minds
Setting whole places afire
Brilliance marked our methods
Adulation heaped only on victors
Hold the mobile, we are conspirators

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Computer games are addictive but more than just being entertainment, some games can occupy our minds for they reflect real world conflicts, mostly territoriality. How we react in the battle reflects our duality or predisposition, and how we can squander fortunes or wreck castles for the sheer pleasure of vendetta. Incorrigible persons should not get together in cyberspace or in guilds, where the ends justify the means. Or should they?

I enjoyed doing this as much as I've enjoyed playing computer games. Thank you for visiting.: -)

Gamification is a tested training method for invigorating teams. Games are not just an escape, but safety valves, releasing stresses and fueling passions for something greater than daily fare.

Duality of expression from smile to victory is wonderfully presented. Structure of this poem is motivational one. es, you are very right. Children are addictive to computer games and this provokes thought...Rating 10 for your poem...10

Hi Bhargabi. Try any of these computer games and join others in guilds. You will see how your interaction with other races reveal a side of yourself not so evident in real life. Thank you for this insight, too. Delighted. :)
