I still love writing letters and some of the people I email it would be quicker to write to! A lovely poem.
... but the excitement which was associated with letters, and the fear attached with telegrams is missing now... (telegrams in my experience never brought any good news) the language of telegrams used to be fascinating for the terseness... i still remember Hemingway's telegram in The sun also rises: arriving sud express tomorrow, love, jack good poem! ! !
A dirge for the dead telegraph! Every death leaves a trail of sad memories, but pave way to the new is the decree of Nature! So let us welcome the inevitable! A timely write! Excellent! !
