Gorgeous sad Classic Poem Of The Day. Congratulations to the family of Lord Byron.
Most beautifully worded, but full melancholic tunes and tones in this ardent Farewell Tribute to a country he most loved. Very sad and tragic but that made this a most beautiful Farewel Song.
Beautiful piece of poetry nicely embellished with poetic rhyme and rhythm....
Adieu, adieu! my native shore Fades o'ver the waters blue; The night-winds sigh, the breakers roar, And shrieks the wild sea-mew........adieu to all; time comes and goes; time comes to know the adieu the past and accept the newness of world; beautiful poem penned
'A few short hours, and he will rise To give the morrow birth' - an inspiation to bear with the darkness!
This is a poem of farewell and there is a bit of lament here. It seems that the place addressed in this poem is very much loved.
When you say Adieu, it is always a sad goodbye. Beautifully phrased and melancholic by the great Poet G.G.Byron.
