My child arrived home today
from school
With a perplexed expression
Questioning an answer
In pursuit of an exploration
Teacher say 3 and 3 is 6
Last week it was 1 and 5
Week before it was 2 and 4
Gee,
Teacher changes the answer
as much as
Politicians changing their lies
