Do not judge the people
who suffer from this affliction.
You'll never understand
what resides within them.
You've not lived their life,
you've not felt their pain,
the things they hide under
the junk they use to escape.
Unless you've been there deep
you'll never know,
you'll not understand.
The pain and guilt that still is felt
from those hurts of the past,
but also from the ways of now.
You have no right to judge another.
So quit looking down upon these souls,
that are in desperate need of love from others.
Quit sneering, spitting,
acting like they're less human.
You'll never truly know
the individual hell of a burdened
soul that found escape in addictions hell.
