Most people think there' s a clash when young and old meet but such is not the case here. The young happens to be much older in perspective and the old is having a second childhood, as it were. A happenstance.
Knowing a man is being with him through his highs and lows and just listening when he needs to unburden. The silly phases are deceptive, not because he likes to deceive, but because lightheartedness is a way of letting things fly, be less in control, be more of the observer, not the one being observed.
They say that you meet yourself somewhere along the way but the wonder is this someone is the exact opposite of who you think you are. And not of the same gender, too. Serendipity!
We think of ourselves in terms of others, and tie up our circumstances with theirs. War and peace, two opposite terms but who profits from both, the need for one justifies the other. I only need a patch of land where I can love freely and be loved and spend my days, not bellyaching, but admiring as the moon dips low into the sea. We only have one life to live and wasted enough of it chasing after -isms and being kicked in the shin.
