Between a state of awareness and a dream, I awaken. I hear a cordial voice bellowing out to me, its echoes resonating in my mind like distant bells ringing. As my eyes open, I realize it wasn't you. I lie there, a stranger on foreign shores.

I desperately yearn for the comforts of solitude, feeling displaced in unknown regions. The food lacks its usual luster, its flavors are unfamiliar. Familiar surroundings beckon me, and I anticipate positive movements toward transit.

I am fatigued by unfulfilled expectations, having signed on the line without regard for the consequences. True understanding eludes its purpose, and joyous moments have turned into splendid agony. Sleepless nights burden my mind with pressure.

I find myself conveniently discussing the necessity of rest, as time slips by slowly toward midnight. I am taken back to familiar places, craving affirmation of my desires. I long for a journey that may ease my mind from its unfounded troubles, for what I desire eludes me in my current state.

As I roam these lands, I find emptiness all around me. Everything escapes my grasp, and I ponder why. From the Far East to the Far West, I am unmoved. I seek something, yet my soul cannot find it.
