Abused....Mistreated.....Lives Demeaned Poem by James B. Earley

Abused....Mistreated.....Lives Demeaned

Considering....San Joaquin and Napa Valleys
....Throughout America same sordid scenes
Disadvantaged....Mexican laborers
....Abused mistreated....lives demeaned

Without the immigrant's tireless efforts
Houses cleaned...food they've picked
Legal status suddenly questioned
.....Are we not.....ungodly sick

No Mexican ever....racially mocked me....
Nor "braggadociously" uttered "I could shoot someone"
....If rapist...why employ Latinos...as domestics
From...breaking dawn....to setting sun

Thanksgiving Day there'd be no bounty
....No foods to eat no wines to drink
On our tables not a single morsel
....For once...allow...this portrait sink

So what's this bullshit about the border
.....Perhaps....mentally ill...Trump's disorder
Throughout America this sordid scene
....Abused......mistreated....lives demeaned
