Sue - this is a wonderful expression of looking toward the future, as looking back to change things is simply fruitless. An amazing friend of mine recently wrote to me, 'If you hanker on the past it only makes you bitter.' Amazing indeed. Words I too could use to live by. I loved your poem, Sue and may the future provide you the comfort the past has not.
