Absolute Assurance

Absolute assurance
Is what the Lord Jesus gives
You may ask me how I know
I know because He lives
Deeper is the truth of that
Amen to its reality
The Spirit gives me blessed assurance
For He lives inside of me!

Absolute assurance
I am walking proof of that
My heart has such a penetrating joy
Because of Salvation's fact
I'm saved! ...I'm saved! ...I'm saved!
There's a glory Hallelujah there
One day I shall be transported, praise God
To meet Christ in the air

Absolute assurance
Assurance so absolute
My sins have been forgiven
And I have Heaven to boot
No wonder I love to share it
Christ's great redeeming grace
He took all the wrath that I deserved
And suffered and died in my place

Absolute assurance
My God, I thank you so
For saving a poor lost sinner
And putting Yourself in my soul
Your Spirit is with me forever
Praise God that's my eternity
And, as a present possession
To give absolute assurance to me!

Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
