Fascinating and very moving! Amazingly as I read this poem a weather alert hit my cell phone, warning of a severe thunder storm! Lightening is coming all the way to the ground, thunder is blasting, having micro bursts of wind, and it's pouring rain! Your poem fit right in with the weather here in Phoenix, Arizona!
