Abducted Poem by Bernadeth Tolentino

Abducted

Could Leblanc be correct
Was I unbelievably mistaken
About these Indians whom I thought were so peaceful.

Nadia and I- surrounded by bodies
That threaten to take our lives
any moment they choose.

Grabbed and lifted. And a hand over my mouth
To silence and control me,
Yet I still struggled.

And then it hit me
A strong blow to the back of my head.
Only to be carried off
into the black of the night.
