Abby Poem by Allan Silverman

Abby

Rating: 5.0

It's only been two weeks,
But I miss you more than I can bare.
My constant companion, my cozy comforter,
I feel you next to me,
I wish I could see,
With your eyes on mine, I felt sublime.
I hope I didn't stretch it, your 19 years offset it
You passed through our hearts, and died in our arms.
We knew that's how it should be,
In the ivy patch lay your bed
As we gently lay your head,
So my retreat gained a friend
And we will never bend,
Loving you dear and feeling so near

How lovely you describe your grief yet gratitude for the years you had.
