Abandoned Poem by Michael Eziudo

Abandoned

Like the wind leaves the oceans and sea shores
Like the rain leaves the clouds and pours
And they the left feel abandoned, so do I

At the morning when on my door
About to step out to see the sun more
If it smiles down at me
And I don't see
Then a Pearl so bright as the sun
Came to my door knocking

Before the sound sounded here I am standing
My eyes shone this glow
And my face this show
My heart raced at the sight my eyes sight
Oh, yes, what a Pearl

The Queen that's a king's king
Stared me in my eyes eyes
My heart froze to its frozen freeze
And all of me beheld a beauty
One that can drive the insane sane

Here's my life shaken
Feeling collected and taken
Like a completed building standing
Hoped the home is built
And the hen had come home to roost
And alas as the morning was dawn
My Pearl was gone
Too busy to be one
And left me abandoned
