Reminded me of an old movie of Rekha-ji with Kabir Bedi (forgot the name) in which she returns to wreak vengeance on the man who betrayed her. Loved this poem.
Touching indeed! Strength of a woman has been very well portrayed.
Perhaps this may be fiction, but such sad incidents happen around us. After a colourful marriage of great fanfare and once the honey moon days pave way to harsh realities, the bride realizes that her groom is a real rogue! The relationship is broken and he goes in search of fresh pastures! The bride some how learns to stand on her own feet! When her man like the prodigal son returns, she turns her back to him who is in no way worthy of her! A touching tale told very convincingly!
An excellent poem about tragedy of love being spurned by another. An uplifting spirit within her flowing like a fountain, enabling her to shed her misery, growing wings and soaring into a world of fame and fortune. Leaving the one who had left her in the self same situation to find his way alone like she did! This is what I call poetic justice! Love this poem! 10 -10's if I could! Very good imagery, feeling, emotion, rhythm, this poem has it all! Thank you for sharing and for your comment on my poetry. RoseAnn
This one is better......showed woman in a better light, unlike 'The Butterfly.' A bird perching on the branch of a tree is confident that it won't fall off. Not that the bird trust the branch but it trusts its wings. Have trust in oneselves instead of gropping in the dark.
She sobbed seas of tears, She was absent to the world; She sang her fears, to heedless deaf ears. She shattered into pieces, yet no one saw the fragments; All resigned her fate, except her little voice. pathetic experiences first. but later you wake up to become great in the city. you are known and you excel in life. from pathos to greatness. thank you
