Abandoned Comments

LaVon this brought tears to my eyes. While my mother abandoned me when I was 12 years old, and also disowned me by signing away her parental rights, she never hit me. She may as well have though, because when she sent me away to a state residential treatment center, I was abused in every way imaginable, including sexual abuse. Even though I am transgendered, I am still a woman, and I hurt like a woman does. All of my life, people told me to 'stuff it up, and act like a man'. Yeah right. How does a woman act like a man? Anyway, I don't think you'd like most of my poems, because they are about the life I was forced to live. Anyway I am droning on and on. Thank you for sharing, LaVon. Love & hugs, Barbara
