A World To Your World (Part 3) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

A World To Your World (Part 3)

To you young and youthful
Like me
Who ran to school
Hungered and stressed
Persevered when turbulent
Dogged when it boiled
Seeking escape from penury
Which became a mirage
And you equally intelligent
But lacked wherewithal
Requirements of citadel
Find yourself at the bottom rung
Downtrodden and neglected
Despised and embittered
With deflated ambition
Hear me and hear me well.
