A Woman's Heart, A Thing, Holy Poem by james watkin

A Woman's Heart, A Thing, Holy

A woman's heart, a thing, holy
Of no love of a heavenly
Conforming, idolized
To bow unto is to disgrace.
And as mockingly out of place
Beg from, with eyes, o'ersized.

Unless we, for innocence' sake
Retain, in role of prince, boys take
For girls, their royal state.
Or for what as noble impresses
Have them sung to as godesses;
While we, as their gods, rate!
