A Woman Comments

Part 2 In my poem “the swan and me”, I had told the story of Leda, from the Greek myth. The stories of modern heroines I have depicted in “Mother of Emmet Till”, “there is no place by that name”, “the world was only darker”...

Lovely song on the woman power. Beautifully expressed. Reminds me of the heroines of Indian epics, Satyawati (pl see my poem series Satyawati) , who is great ancestor to both Kauravas and Pandavas; Devayani (my poem series named Yayati) , Ahalya (my poem named “Silence is what I Choose”) etc. (contd)
