After a recent break up, my leaving lover, requested to take away my half empty bottle of my signature cologne. He said it would always keep me near his heart. I guess it was a compliment, sort of, although I would have rather he kept ME closer to his heart. For him the fragrance lingers. For me, the pain remains. A beautiful poem, .indeed. PEACE
