A Wish Not A Hope Poem by Bryan Taplits

A Wish Not A Hope

I have no hope of seeing her
As once I saw before,
The girl who grew and
I saw when I was young
Is now no more, no more.
There is no hope she'll return to me
There is no hope at all,
She reposes now in holy ground
I cannot see, but saw.
Though hopeless am I
To see her again
As once I saw her-
and still see,
I wish I had told her more-
It's a hope that I send-
And a wish she would come back to me.
