A truly beautiful sonnet, I love the title, it paints a rather warm picture of winter. --Melvina--
Beautifully done. I love a good nature scene. As refreshing as a walk in woods on an autumn morning.
You use words with great skill in this elegant piece describing your bare limbed sentinels and the rhythm of their life beside the water. I loved the weeping willows that shaded the Yarra River of my childhood (since removed by the Council because of problems with their invasive root structure) . We used them as swings and cubby-houses. The light green of their spring growth was unique and incredible. I also remember Andy Pandy and teddy and their willow tree which 'was just like being in a little green house'. Wonderful poem. love, Allie xxxx
Perfect form. Haunting theme. Good stuff.
