A Winter Blast Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

A Winter Blast

Rating: 5.0

A dusting of frost,
Has been delicately placed,
Upon this once fine blooming space,
My garden has felt,
It's first winter blast,
From the freezing cold weather,
I hope it don't last,
Or will we get snow?
It's that time of the year,
Warm woolies are out,
And Christmas is near,
Maybe a wee sprinkle or two?
As we open our gifts,
On Christmas morn,
A time to remember those days spent with you,
When we drank hot cocoa at the break of dawn.

The weather station I have in my garden said -5 C this morning, my car at the lake said it was -4. The birds were waiting & part of the lake frozen! !
