An unpretentious wild flower
Peeped out of the crannied stone ledge
A peach colored blossom

She nodded her head in the breeze As if to invite the footloose ramblers Who might chance to pass that way To feast on her beauty And taste her fragrance Ere she falls down dead Unattended, sans sound In that wilderness In another day's time, ....thrilling expression. Brilliant poem. Thanks again. .......Unnoticed,

Never unnoticed, as that precious wildflower is immortalized in this verse. Such a great and wonderful irony that something called 'wild' can be so reserved and contained. A great poem, Valsa.

Your poetry is much like that little wildflower- -humble, exquisitely beautiful, peeping out at us with that sweet sweet charm......... but unlike that wee flower, you and your poetry will NOT be...... ........Unnoticed, ..................Untouched ...............................Unsung!

How sad when we overlook such beauty that this earth shows us on a daily basis. Love it...10

Hi Valsa. Wildflowers… one of my favorite subjects. They bring back many memories. Love this inspirational poem of beautiful crafting. And what a gorgeous floral illustration. PS: Thanks for the hearty welcome. It’s good to be back, at least for a while. Love PH.

A very beautiful n heart-touching write. It's always good to feast our eyes upon the beauty of flowers but it's sad that flowers wither. A very poetic write coming straight from the depths of heart. A10

This is beautiful. When I look at wild flowers it seems like they only know how to bloom and spread their beauty....unpretentious is their soft and tender existence. Their message clear.....beauty exists for its own sake.

So sad! At least, I wish you poet had gone her way. Or, did you? Yes, you did. Otherwise, this poem would not have taken birth. Valsaji, I believe the poet in you is coming out fully alive only now like a butterfly out of its chrysalis, because I loved this. (10)
