Or Until You Grow Old And Forget? Why bar your old mind's door... to your friends, to your guests, even though your mind's at rest. They'll love YOU forever more, even though you can't keep score. In your mind they'll congregate, with rhyme, song, and all things great.... which you loved when lucid you WERE. Welcome us now. Please don't you demur. favorite lines: A special thanks to the taxi driver That keeps the meter running! ..............i COULD use YOUR poems only [i mean JUST THEM, no others] in my next showcase, .........but........i won't. tongues might wag, in more ways than one. bri :) to MyPoemList, of course. has there been one of your poems yet which didn't make it into the hallowed halls? ? ?
Here I am and ready to party down, Hope to heavens I don't make you frown! Lively we will rock this house, never quiet like a mouse! Full of Spirit we'll deliver Fun so grand we'll all quiver!

Poetry is a grand hotel of guests. Checking in and checking out. Each has a voice crying to be heard, and yours speaks louder than a lot of them. But not so loud as to be an thorn. It's more like a rose. Nice writing Lora!
And so, my guests, I make a toast: A finer group I've never met; You're welcome to stay as long as you like, Or until I grow old and forget Our heartfelt thanks for that! Wish you never grow old enough to forget.
Guess what Lora? Even as I begin to read your poem I was made to feel welcome. With a gracious heart and a lovely character we can each invite others into our homes which literally is our hearts. Welcome guests!
I admire you all, good poem, thanks. I invite you to read my poems and comment.
I see i was here in 2018. Let me look for one i've not read/commented on. bri : )
