God in my heart
only two things
did I promise thee
when I had grown
a little older wiser
with heartfelt eyes
discerning perceiving
understanding could
with some degree of clarity;
this world see
I noticed God
the happy and desperately
unhappy and thought
happiness was one
of the greatest gifts
that could be given
not cold cash money
emerals gold diamonds;
that could be stolen
but a wealth of rich
memories moments
of beautiful happiness
written in soulful eyes
that pause to smile;
