I sometimes feel like this, like I've wasted a lot of my life and have had little to no emotional support, 'a dark journey without sustenance' I can't stop though, and I can't go back. Loved your poem, very expressive.

Life can never be a wasted ride. It has to go on with no regrets felt. Curve of learning may ascend. Opportunities may play hide and seek. Ultimately one searches and achieves what one wants. The poem brings out some harsh realities of life yet the life is worth living.

From being caught and held a prisoner in this blind alley, there is a need to get out somehow! When all hopes are blurred, strange enough, we see the glimmer if light at the other end! ! That's life.... one of light and shade, victory and defeat.... a journey of destinations reached and missed! ! Strikingly powerful! !

What Introspection! The poetess might know the best vista, but i can feel the struggle of the outer self with the inner self. Wonderful poem!

Life is a merry go round where we get on, go round in circles and then get off dizzy.

There are many things in the world that blur the scene. One wants to achieve many things in life and cannot achieve all. What counts at the end is if a fraction has been achieved. Let empty hands don't mean a wasted ride. A thought provoking poem beautifully crafted. Thank you.

An extremely good write Ma'am! The regrets of a wasted ride should not arise in midway. The gain will be known when it needs to be known. Remember the chinese bamboo!

The whole description is so vivid and the words you have used to describe the gloomy atmosphere actually brightened the whole description thus creating a beautiful harmony! ! ! And the ending is again so strikingly beautiful! ! ! I stop mid-way and look at my hands i find there just a truth wide all regrets for a wasted ride! loved it! ! ! Blessings
