the birds disguise themselves
as their own shadows,
before settling invisibly among the leaves.

Will heavier leaves soon dip those branches into the water? Or will they hover like Tantalus's lips just above the pond all summer long?

Many thanks dear Daniel, for sharing this amazing moments has been captured by the inspiration of your wonderful pen, in the first 2 stanzas we are very close to the nature and can read the languages of things in that lovely April, with very strong and deep poetic feeling, even some times we are leaping into the world of the philosophy as well, well done for this nice form and theme you have used here, it deserves 10 as usual, with kind regards

Fascinating poem admiring spring as if a jungle. Everywhere is a vibrant activity- colors which surface strike the poet as various kinds of birds, while trees take on a kind of suspense in their relationship with the pond- hovering, touching. I experience a jungle in which a dog becomes a kind of mundane withdrawal back to reality. Excellent poem.

Even our beloved poet Wordsworth would have felt jealous about the great and beautiful poem you could write, let alone people like me who often try to succeed in such attempts. A heartfelt thanks and congratulations for the poem being picked up a member POTD. 10+++++++

Tree screens pour beautiful and interesting song before birds and birds too sing with eagerness. Shadows of them before settling invisibly among the leaves., whisper to setting sun to rest. A great and powerful imagery is drawn in this poem. A writer of autumn poems is definitely an excellent writer of spring poem. This poem is rich in thought and expression and excellently written motivational poem. Congratulations! Dull vote for you i.e...10

Dude, look at your like to dislike ratio. You have nothing to be but jealous. Your poems are uninspiring in tone, writing, and creativity. No one takes you seriously as an artist on this site.

You're a joke on this site, Kurt. You are a nice SJW, but a sh177y writer. It's why I am glad people like Brian and Gene are here.

Congratulations, Daniel! Though if it were up to me, each of your poems should be declared Poem of the Day. What I also find amazing is that this is the first time I read it. I must be slipping. Are you sure your muse isn't skipping merrily along at your side, whispering sweet words in your ear? ;)

Hearty Congratulation Daniel for this honour and your lovely poem. Though you are an admirer of autumn, yet your spring poem bounces with joy The pet dog that matches your steps while you walk, gives a lively image. A full score of 10

Green claims the landscape, but gray bark still covers a leafless tree................................................... Just the speculated statement of our future! Nice.

For someone who admits that they are an autumn person, you could have fooled me with the sumptuous work of promoting spring. Wonderful and evocative of a season that I find mostly grey, congrats for poem of the day! .

A lot of this is quite subjective so don't take it personally, I also hate this site's system of not allowing me to write large comments if anything that dissuades criticism.

Wonderful narrative of springtime walk. With so much to do in spring writing takes a back seat. But it is the most inspiring time of year when heart is full of love, and hopes and prayer. Congratulations for a member poem place for a lively poem.
