The leaves-strewn paths I walk with steps wary - Teach me More God! The crunch of leaves under feet I hear with ears sharp - Its a music but sounds music Forgive me God! Trees are not sorry to let go of leaves Leaves are not sorry to part with trees Don't cry o heart when you walk on dead leaves. - And when the dried leaves say the touch your feet blessed me, did I hear that so God? ? all in your Creation! ! Bless it all!

You capture what I too feel in autumn - a sense of losing something beautiful too quickly, a desire to hold on to the season of falling and fallen leaves, appreciating the beauty of late summer - for me because early winter arrives with astonishing speed. and then lingers for 5 months. But a walk in Autumn is not only a sensory experience which is delightful but also a poetic experience which is touched with sadness.

Well that's cycle of life, old leaves fall in autumn and the tree stands waiting for new leaves in the spring.

This is a beautiful poem. It reminds of both our inner nature, what we believe and ascribe to elements in and of the world, and of nature's ability...to let go. Well done!

A walk of the life to remember, a phase in everybody's life when they leave their home, separate from parents, search for better things, migrate to different place. Life takes us through different stages, a thought provoking poem, Loved it...10+++++

Hi Nosheen, Beautiful poem; with the message on the vagaries of life, of existence. Trees are not sorry to let go of leaves Leaves are not sorry to part with trees Still it hurts our heart when we walk on dead leaves. Why? So that they are not trampled upon; and we donot cause them cry. And so that their music is not lost on us. Life's lessons are like these: learn them the hard way. Very profound and thoughtful. Philosophical as usual. Loved reading.100+++

How majestically simple, how beautifully elegant is the artistic efficiency with which you have laid upon your palm one of the deep truths of life and held it up for us to behold, and once more our breath is tugged as much by the elegance of your writing as of the truth it illuminates. Bravo! :)

This poem is one of beauty and emotion but both are treated with such tenderness that the sadness is suffused with joy. Part of me does not want to disturb the pattern and poise you achieved by using my cerebral words. Another part of me wants to articulate the poem's meaning to show you how abundantly you bestowed autumn's wonders over us. And for this poem I choose the second option: I'm putting my analytical mind to rest, and re-read the poem in an atmosphere of appreciation. I want to safeguard your poem's tenderness.
