This poem takes one on a ride of highs & lows. The grace of this great bird in flight to the vulture that it is scavenging on the ground. Sent shivers down my spine Alf. Brilliantly written. I cannot fault this, save to correct that simile that I just loved! Your reference to 'Cordon Bleu'.... A vulture flies on Azure blue Skies, Africa’s ‘Cordon Blue’ of flesh demise; - EXCELLENT.

The poem is not just a landscape of wild Africa, It symbolizes some meaningful aspects of the life and its theory of survival of the fittest. The last line uplifts the whole poem. Good poem, Alf..................10. Regards Naseer

This is a great piece of writing Alf, beautifully woven and produced. A super read with really good imagery putting a living picture into ones mind. Well done indeed. It reminds me of a film I saw many years ago called, 'Where No Vultures Fly' a very memorable viewing. Fascinating creatures, even if they are a bit ugly. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
