I left several comments and hope they were sent despite the fact I had NOT signed into PH yet. bri ;)
K. G. considered himself more as an artist than a poet according to Wikipedia. bri ;)
hey, my partial comment disappeared. If Gibran (born 1833) could use 'old-style' English in his poem, I'm allowed to use 'beget' (create) NOW in 2022! bri ;)
Khalil Gibran, born 1833, used now-old-style English, so I guess I can NOW use 'beget
'brings the Pleasure of a minute with a year of repentance' Yes, sometimes a brief periods of pleasure beget/create longlasting regret. I've been married FOUR times; I know! ! ! ! bri ;)
Congratulations for this Classic Poem Of The Day to the family of the late great poet.

This world which walks with You is your heart; and your heart is all that you Think that world. This creature whom you see as Ignorant and small is the same who has come from God's side to learn pity through sadness, and knowledge By way of darkness.'- just great wise poetic expression; stupendous
Wisdom! ! ! ! With the stillness of the night. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
The flight of imagination and the presentation style of the poem are simply superb making it worthy classic poem.
If after running eyes over these verses there is not a monumental move of your heart, then please, go where you must and do not return until there is.
Such gorgeous writing! ! No wonder we read his poems over and over again- we like to saturate ourselves with poetic beauty and wisdom
You is your heart; and your heart is all that you Think that world Nicely said.
there might be wisdom but less poetry at all... a prolific writer he is/ was but i see big? when reading his verses...
I wish PH could figure out how to avoid (PH to a void) adding 'Comments' sometimes as the 'last word of the poem title'. Sometimes, but not always! ! ! ! : ( bri
