Sometimes a breeze conspires with a screen of foliage to grant us a vista. The breeze parts the branches and leaves, they willingly fall back to show you, the watching one, a corridor of light, and not a knot of darkness. How far beyond our place of being - - - - - - - - - Yes nature conspires sometimes to show us the corridor of light. A fantastic write, thanks for sharing.
There's a strange 'charm' to your poem that spellbounds the reader in much like the people in it. I don't think I am intelligent enough to decipher what this intoxicating poem means, but maybe it is about choices - 'Do we drink the NECTAR OF LIFE and celebrate or merely drown ourselves in pessimism? ' Sometimes, it is worth it to give in to the fantasies than let reality break us down. Or maybe, sometimes it is worth it to choose a reality worth loving. Thanks for sharing Mr Brick.
This is Judith Blatherwick banned from this site along with her alter ego The Crow. I had her banned for criminal defamation against me. She has 100+ disguises on this site. She still terrorizes members with The Truth and The Crow.
This is a very beautiful poem the first one I have read of yours I shall read more then comment on wars These wars are inevitable for more than one reason all know but fear to accept it You also sir and through your poetry express ur views without fear
this poem incites these thoughts: a memory of the high-line in nyc with its occasional glimpses of the hudson river. the lyrics of paper moon which remind us of love's perspective. and the times when suddenly the scrim of thought is lifted and we glimpse, just for a moment, a tree or something else with refreshing clarity. which in turn reminds me of the i-it and i-thou differences described by martin buber. -glen
