A Very Grand Finale Poem by Shirley Harrison

A Very Grand Finale

I dreamt, I was a poet

playing the piano

and as I was playing

I was also reciting my

most famous poem

the notes were dramatic

no one could deny

later, that night...

I died with a smile.
