bharati, reading this i think once more of the universal outlook that ph fosters. on what is real, for me the outer, the visible, though i surely notice it still there, has become less important as i've gotten older, is more likely to be colored or viewed from the invisible things i sense. glen

ok, you are heretofore flowing through my pen as a moonbeam! i hope ballpoint is ok with you. and, FURTHERMORE, as far as i am now concerned, you are distant from reality. it's not a 'bad' way to look at some PH poets, but i'd rather think of YOU as a human. :) i'll now put this into Section B of my/our January 2017 showcase. it will follow your Merry Christmas poem in the same section. bri ;) p.s. let me know if it does not show up soon in Section B. ;) :)

Even I have written a poem on this subject Bharati...it is Feeble Friendship...whether it is virtual or feeble, truth is that we are able to identify good friends in their good writing which makes us cherish their identity in this site even if we no more hold our membership....no matter we haven't met each other living far away too....still they are our all time adorable friends only....a very good work on friendship Bharati...God bless you my dear friend...thank you for your kind comment on my poem too

So heartfelt about friendship from a distance where poems tell our stories, pain, love etc as we draw strength from words that bring us back to a memory, feeling, a place where we draw on inspiration. Beautiful write!

I like the way you keep open the possibilities of both dream and reality. After all we know that everything we call real to US is just Vishnu's dream of US: our reality, his dream. I find that view of the Nature of Things very consoling, as Shakespeare said, WE ARE SUCH STUFF AS DREAMS ARE MADE OF, AND OUR LITTLE LIFE IS ROUNDED WITH A SLEEP.

Thank you for your valuable comment. As you said some one's dream may be some others reality. Our poems mostly represent a mixture of dream and reality.

Every thing we call real to us is just Visnu's dream of us, our reality, his dream.I like how you explain from the perspective of Hindu philosophy.

I agree, real or virtual, a friend is always valuable. Our dreams are also like virtual images without having a real physical entity. Now through computer networking we are able to transfer images, voices and feelings so quickly that we feel like communicating with the real person on our front. In computer games we create virtual entity for a character .such as another Anjelina jolie in Tomb Raider. The virtual image of Anjelina Jolie has the power to impact as like that of real Anjelina.

A beautiful poem out of a beautiful soul... and an intelligent one as well. There are qualities about people that transcend the physical distance... especially writers. I feel I know the important aspects of people on this site- -some are so warm, some are so fragile, some are steeped with egotism, because these aspects creep into their poetry and their comments. I enjoy the heart and mind shimmering beneath the lines of your poetry. 10+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

A beautiful piece of poetry, deep and so poetic, if one take a moment to reflect on each lines in the first stanza it's like the unreal behaving in reality, while on the 2nd stanza, its the other way around, the truth writing profoundly in the virtual. Truly a masterpiece, a poem worthy in its class. Rated 10+

Thank you Jesus James Llorico for your appreciative words. With advent of computer and networking through social media, it is a new era where real and virtual have come closer.Virtual appears almost real. There is a conflict of identity between real and virtual as we often doubt the real about its identity.
