A Universal Need Poem by Mary Champion

A Universal Need

I need you; you're part of my wholeness,
Although I cannot specify
The reason I feel lost without you;
I just know that without you I'll die.

Though I try,
I cannot put a name to
What you bring me,
But when you're not there,
There's a hole at the heart of my wholeness.
In some sense, we are part of a pair.
