A Tumultuous Sommersturm Poem by Alexandre Nodopaka

A Tumultuous Sommersturm

It's been two weeks
since the eventful stroke.

It's pleasant to report
that my words
have not frozen
like the left side
of my face
and my left sided
counter clock
gait vertigo.

Shaving feels
like sawing lumber
and being kissed
on that side
does not make
any appendage rise.

The words still issue
from my tingling brain.

I feel a smarter Alec
than ever before
but my poetic allegories
still struggle to surface
from beneath that thin layer
of virtual ice.

Thank G-d Spring and
Summer are in the near distance
to wipe out the pandemic
I can't wait for a good
tumultuous diluvial storm
to pour out of my left
frontal lobe.
