I can not say I 'enjoyed' this poem. It is tragic an occurrence that is freshly pictured with such a vivid depiction. You do have a way of 'wrenching' guts! lol...and, for a writer that's a good thing. What an emotionally 'connected' 'piece' you have written. Terrific, yet somber as it is meant to be.
United we stand..united we fight... united spread love...and smiles and colours...
India has seen battles and grief, blood and gore, sacrifices and heaps of martyr's numbed bodies...pain is not new to her...but always she has prevailed against all odds...its in her spirit..in her name...which propells men to die for her...and when time comes we all will be read with our kafan in one hand and face death happily for her.....Thanks for this poem!
you have made my heart to cry..... what a mourning moment to pause.... the cruel God, who allows everything to happened.....a moment of dying breath of an innocent lives... so harsh... so painful to believe.... that beyond struggle there lives a sweet of hatred amongst our hearts....thank you my friend... iam hurt... God bless
Extraordinary, Ahmad. Beautiful, eloquent and most appropriate. The last line is especially poignant. Smiles are indeed irreplacable. Warmest regards, Sandra
Very powerful and timely message. You try to pour out all the grief, compassion, empathy, hope and so many other feelings that you can. These lines will be asked over and over: 'Why do they always kill? /Why should they force a will? ' So much besides lives are destroyed. The destruction continues. We were created to be co-creators and not destroyers.
A very heartfelt piece you have written here Ahmed, we all pray for peace and that some way we can eradicate terrorism from society, well said, Lynda xx
a deep appeal there for peace and jolting everyone to reality that we to act and not just talk about wiping out terrorism
Why are these people killing humanity. The poem is a great tribute, and bridges the gap of nations, strengthening the same thread, of humanity.
A great write that describe the horrified terrorist attack in Mumbai! Everyone in the world would be mourning for those who were killed.I am very sure about this.
Your dedicated to our humanity is touching of human heart. Especially in your line of expression were quoted from news media where we concern of victim.
The deep shock at the world's continuing merciless inhumanity is brought out forcibly in this poem. We ought to remember this much longer than than fickle folk usually do.........best wishes from a grieving Cornish poet - Fay.
thanks for sharing this....VERY great, CLEVER piece against terrorism...you show your love through this...you're a lover of PEACE....it was so heartless, irrational, ruthless doings by terrorists...Why? all can i say while watching the news is WHY? ...hope terrorists will stop in the name of God...hope this will not go on forever....that another nation will again suffer from their doings...
Ahmad, you place your words with skill, this tragedy that causes so much harm, can also cause more hate, and so the cycle continues until we all learn to replace hate with love, no matter what happens. Thank you, i have also written about this in my poem 'A Slaughter of the Innocents'.
