A True Lie Poem by Bancroft Boreland

A True Lie

Rating: 4.0

Yours is a beauty the poets have no words to define
Another like you is impossible to find
So desperate am i to make you mine
The epitome of beauty you are
You have me infatuated, enthralled
One look was all it took
For me to fall in love with you
But I had not known
That you were already taken and could never be my own

I suffer an emotion so painful it can never be defined
Time moves forward but i keep looking behind
Thinking of what could have been
What should have been!

And even though i try to persuade myself otherwise
I know that you never loved me
So day by day i continue to live
‘ A true lie’
Because i have married not the one i love
But the one who loves me...

when there is someone who is in love with you, that is when you should share it too.seek all the beauties in her, then search for all your faults and you will see that god put her there because it was meant to be.
