To lay down their life to inspire others - This is the crux of a hero. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you Savita!
Each of us owe our respect and gratitude To those who died so we could live This I feel is the crux of your poem, Savita! The freedom and comforts we enjoy today have been built upon the sacrifice, hard toil and the fighting spirit of generations and generations of men imbued by a sense of fairness and an indefatigable thirst for justice ! It is incumbent on us to remember them with gratitude ! A great and timely tribute!
Whether it is Selma for voting rights Jalianwalla Bag for national freedom Or Sharpeville rising against apartheid laws We owe our freedom and liberty A nice gratitude.
WOW, WOW, WOW! ! ! I could find nothing wrong with this magnificent write. i've sent it to MyPoemList for the message it gives and for the fine writing. I'm not much of a 'joiner', but if i had lived in alabama (or close by) and had the means to attend the march, i would have been very tempted to do so, and willing to give of myself to help get human rights for others. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Savita! my favorite lines: To bridge the gap between Freedom and slavery by the Sheer strength of their will and Righteousness of their thoughts very nice! bri :)
