This is a good one, Zaynab. While reading the poem I had so many times the feeling you were reading my mind. So true, such a wealth of poems and each reflecting someones deep inner side or just a passing thought. I love to read the new poems too. I now realize how much I missed out on, by not being part of this wonderful art before 2010, when I joined this website.

(cont.) now to finish reading. would sugar coated pills be placebos? these, reportedly, CAN help. too bad PH deletes spaces -nilly [aka whether one likes it or not].in some poems! ! ! So, YOU have your guard up against such as myself? ? i'm kidding. i am NOT harshly insensitive or prejudiced. i save THAT for the ones i REALLY love! ! ! (cont.)

you either have a 'following' of some of my favorite poets, or your poem was a poem of the day or you advertised to pliant poets on PH, OR more than one of these choices! ! favorite lines..so far: that pop like popcorn in the crockery of Poemhunter to follow previous verb tense, i would use opt here: Or opted for sugar-coated ones.......so many clever thoughts in the poem, and alliterations 'to boot'! to MyPoemList. I like your many apt and original comparisons, Zaynab. Flowers, popcorn, meerkats... Interesting thoughts. A poem makes concrete our thoughts and perceptions and it's fascinating to see how differently we think, as well as the similarity in things we notice and feel.

Nicely penned poem- - -In some cases critiques put harsh words in their comments that are very unbecoming of a real critique. Some write rubbish in pseudo names. It really hurts to read such comments when one posts poem for the pleasure of writing and wishes to be read. Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem.

Sweetly savored and dished up! Your words usher me into the mystery of where this plenteous fountain might be welling up from? Is there a series of virtual roulette wheels in our minds? Are we local agents of the Creation? Your poem enacts the creative abundance it describes.

Delightful! Your comparisons were both diverse and unique and cheerful! Very delightful tone and the admonishment for sour comments was gently delivered. I think 90% of the PH members try to encourage others and point out the verses they find awesome or the poetic skills they think shined. I must admit I paused and reread several times - -] Or like a fresh wave of words crashing and cresting upon the turf- -] 10++++

I especially like the part about poems popping up like meerkats. Quite a visual impression I got in my mind when I read that. A fascinating poem. Thanks for posting.

Amazing poem about the poet's impression of each new poem posted by a galaxy of poets on PH. I also share the views expressed by my friends in the preceding comments. Thanks & Congrats, Zaynab. I quote: the newest poetry is to put it more exquisitely a fragrant flower just bloomed in the bedecked bowers of poetry

I too don’t seem to tire of affirmation. It interests me you write from Tanzania. If I’ve seen others posting to PH from there, I don’t recall them. Be blessed! -Glen

yes, you have interpreted my feelings well when I see a new poem and a new name. It reminds me of yesterday. I had some seedling of he flower Viola in my sun lounge and then I saw the first one in flower! They flower thoughout the winter months, you know. always flowering like a good poem. And yours is a very good poem. It would get a 10 if I could vote it. I'll make a note and add one when PH have stopped this silly nonsense.
