I have read and commented on this poem before, but I had to come back and read it again!

This is a good one, Zaynab. While reading the poem I had so many times the feeling you were reading my mind. So true, such a wealth of poems and each reflecting someones deep inner side or just a passing thought. I love to read the new poems too. I now realize how much I missed out on, by not being part of this wonderful art before 2010, when I joined this website.

you either have a 'following' of some of my favorite poets, or your poem was a poem of the day or you advertised to pliant poets on PH, OR more than one of these choices! ! favorite lines..so far: that pop like popcorn in the crockery of Poemhunter to follow previous verb tense, i would use opt here: Or opted for sugar-coated ones.......so many clever thoughts in the poem, and alliterations 'to boot'! to MyPoemList. I like your many apt and original comparisons, Zaynab. Flowers, popcorn, meerkats... Interesting thoughts. A poem makes concrete our thoughts and perceptions and it's fascinating to see how differently we think, as well as the similarity in things we notice and feel.

Nicely penned poem- - -In some cases critiques put harsh words in their comments that are very unbecoming of a real critique.Some write rubbish in pseudo names.It really hurts to read such comments when one posts poem for the pleasure of writing and wishes to be read.Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem.

Delightful! Your comparisons were both diverse and unique and cheerful! Very delightful tone and the admonishment for sour comments was gently delivered. I think 90% of the PH members try to encourage others and point out the verses they find awesome or the poetic skills they think shined. Beautifully written Zaynab.....! Yes, poems keep popping up every now and then and we have before us a wide range to choose from! If appetite allows we can have the taste of the whole lot! There is no dearth for the palate to savor any taste! Enjoyed this hilarious write from the beginning to the end!

yes, you have interpreted my feelings well when I see a new poem and a new name. It reminds me of yesterday. I had some seedling of he flower Viola in my sun lounge and then I saw the first one in flower! They flower thoughout the winter months, you know. always flowering like a good poem. And yours is a very good poem. It would get a 10 if I could vote it. I'll make a note and add one when PH have stopped this silly nonsense.
