Rating: 5.0

Birds are in conversation with the dark.
They sing their elegies from power lines.
You clasp my hand to hold the music still.
Such stanzas, Friend, must not be winter lost.

Your translation of December pure Gold - l felt your tenderness weaving through the season's tapestry and visualized the walk with birds on the power line....so very good.

You have captured that moment between - between the autumn brilliance and the December cold. Like the moment between the in breath and the out breath - where all that is belongs. A deeply spiritual poem clothed in a beautiful garment of richly woven words. Love your birds singing their elegies from power lines. Our magpies do it all the time. love, Alison ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Dearest Sandra, How affective this new gem is! It was sculptured by your talented art of creating images so lively! You always bring the sacred Nature to enlighten our souls, even though these birds'are in conversation with the dark.' I've enjoyed the whole poem, and particularly Fiend's reply 'It might be possible to light our way home via red gold panes.' These are strong lines, in my view. Your skills have the great power to connect us to you! Many thanks, Sandra. Warmest regards & love Maria

No one translates December quite like you - and no one writes about December quite like you, Sandra, 'cause you've got friend who's all December, original flavour of apporaching love written in the cloudless sky.

Your prism disperses images of the season's landscape. I have never seen the living snow of december taking in the the elegies - the conversation with the dark.

Sandra, your very last line, could very well be my comment to you....but of course you know i can't just leave it there...This work is a textbook paradigm of how imagery, and detail, should comandeer a literary work. You have created a poem, that becomes virtually palpable, by way of your acumen for meticulous, and pictorial depiction. Apropos title...as this poem be Gold...as Gold be the quality of your artistry, young lady! FjR

to light our way home via red gold panes, this really struck me as the most beautiful imagery. but Sandra, your poems have that touch of gold, nobody captures the mood and the season as well as you do. the poem is full of tenderness and purity, like snowflakes.10 thanks for sharing Mamta

Whatever you touch upon turns into gold, you have that Midas' touch. It is rich in imagery, perfect in flow and a rhythmic lyrical touch. CP
