A Total Surrender. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

A Total Surrender.

Rating: 5.0

O' my Esteemed LORD,
My true-hearted gratitudes
I offer at YOUR feet,
for the strength and courage
You bestowed whenever
my life became hard.

If you are listening to me,
may I pose a question;
I am searching for, but
not getting an answer
to my query,
Is there no end to my
agony and worry?
Is it punishment for
I committed some unpardonable
crime and felony?
Or
Do you want to
test patience, sincerity
truthfulness and
devotion in my inner-self?
Frankly speaking,
I don't request YOU to give
lighter burdens;
let it be the heaviest one,
I am never afraid of, but
I fervently pray YOU to give
the strongest shoulders
to encounter and surmount
them only by myself and
YOUR help.

Bless me to come out with
flying colours like
a diamond lustres only
after frictions with
the cutter,
the gold glitters after
going through fire.
I repose my fullest
confidence and reliance
in YOU,
inspire me to
pass through successfully
the predicaments and
quagmires,
I totally surrender.
