How about some poetic lace. The best of 2 worlds, maybe? Thanks for reading and commenting.
Not thorns but lace - I love that simple but illustrative contrast. I imagine it playing out in costumes: a crown of thorns indicates suffering, a lace dress the whims of beauty. In terms of poems, there are those that imitate the harsh language of the streets because it's realistic but others raise our gaze above those streets with beautiful speech. I'll let other poets be the Quentin Tarantino's of speech, I'll aim for language of the calm heart and the noble mind! If that's a imitation, I embrace it.
