A Time of Freedom
Papa says we are all locked in,
There is no school for any of us,
I am happy that the house is full,
None going out long anymore.
I enjoy this time like never before,
With parents at my beck and call,
Caring for me all through the day,
Eating, playing or sleeping always.
I dash in and out of the kitchen,
To munch whatever I get to eat,
Playing with siblings all the time,
Hoping these days will never end.
My parents are worried though,
They say there's sickness outside,
And we are locked up for weeks,
I don't understand much of this.
Momma teaches me at home,
Papa works from home these days,
Though I miss school and friends,
I enjoy this time more than ever.
