Yes the problem is in the selection of leaders. Once the British army had a policy where officers had to buy their commissions, they had to pay money to advance in rank. The problem was bad officers lost battles and lost men and armies. America seems to be a rich mans club buying leaders power and favours. A minimum standard of intelligence and ability seems to be needed for future candidates.

When you get a TV personality to lead a country you get a country of clowning and absurdity. A leader is a leader. A manager of properties and investments is a manager. Dont take one for the other
