A Thousand Little Joys (Sonnet #267) Poem by Tina Baaklini

A Thousand Little Joys (Sonnet #267)

I'm no expert in speeches grand and sweet,
With honeyed words and charms to soothe the ear;
But our hearts beat in unison, complete,
They love their own way, and in that, have cheer.

A thousand ways exist to say 'I love, '
Respect and tenderness are part of it;
Love is lived in every moment, thereof,
In affection and empathetic wit.

I live your love with softness, day by day,
You fill me with a thousand little joys;
You plant the seeds of joy deep in my way,
And always there to calm my anxious voice.

In every breath, you cultivate love's light,
And every gesture from you feels so right.
